Oct. 28th The bird story

John 1:14 - God becomes a man
Of all the ways God could have come to us, why did He choose to
become a man?

14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[a] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

This question is best answered by an old story of a man and some birds. There once lived a man who lived at a simply farm. He had a simple house with a simple barn on a simple peace of land. Some friends invited him almost weekly to come with them to church. His answer was the same, “When I can see God then I will come.” But his friends would tell Him that Jesus did come to this earth and was a man just like us. One Sunday after his friends stopped and he said no yet again a very cold storm came. He looked out his window and saw a group of birds on the group shivering. He felt bad about the birds and decided to do something for them. He went outside and opened his barn that had hay and a warm light for the birds to warm up under. He then went inside and watched. But they didn’t go. “Silly birds,” he thought and went out and tried to help the birds into the barn. He put down seeds, he pointed to the barn to them, and he even tried to go behind them a shoe them into the barn. Each time the man did this the birds would simple fly away. After awhile he got frustrated and said, “If I could just become like these birds I could save them” he stopped and thought right there about what his friends had said about Jesus and he realized that Jesus did come and showed him how to be saved. The next Sunday his friends were surprised to see their friend in church with them. Lord my I never stop realizing you came in the flesh for me, thank you.
