Carpet Ball

Just got done playing three games of carpet ball with two of the girls in the jr hi group. It was fun and I'm still smiling about it. I won two of the three games and it was enjoyable to talk about playing carpet ball for 4 years and doing a set-up the girls had never seen before. But the real joy came when one of them beat me. It was so awesome to see that excitement. She jumped up and down laughing and saying, "I won, I won." She truly did win. It is something I get the chance to see often but I never get over the pure joy these kids get from something as simple as winning in a game of carpet ball. It helps me to keep things in perspective when ministering to these kids.
