the Game "Aliens"

I've had a number of kids and other friends ask about this game and I thought I would put it here in my blog and have people come here to get the rules for the game.

Aliens:

You have three groups of players:
Aliens
Guns
Astronauts

Purpose for each group:
The Aliens chase the astronauts and tag them to make them return to home base.
The Astronauts try to find the guns and then chase the aliens down with the guns
The guns are hidden by the aliens in the play area, then after they are found they are attached to an astronaut to chase down the Aliens.

Explanation:
This game is best played in a large building where a lot of running can happen, as well as areas that players can hide.

Everyone starts at a central location (The astronaut HQ). From there the groups are decided. On the average, for ever 15 players you have 2 of them should be an Alien and 1 should be a gun and everyone else an astronaut.

After the groups are decided the leader should set a time for how long the game will go (I usually run it for 15 minutes). During that time each group has something to do:

Aliens need to hide the guns and chase down the astronauts who have to go back to astronaut HQ when caught by an alien. After a gun is found the Aliens need to stay hidden or keep from being caught by the gun/astronaut team.

Guns need to stay hidden until found by an astronaut and then lock arms with an astronaut and catch aliens. Once they catch an alien the alien is eliminated from that game round.

Astronauts need to find the guns while not be caught by aliens (if they are caught they have to go back to the astronaut HQ). Once they find a gun they need to lock arms with an astronaut and catch aliens. Once they catch an alien the alien is eliminated from that game round.

The object of the game is for the aliens to stay alive for the period of time the game goes. While the astronauts and guns need to find and eliminate the aliens in that same amount of time.
