Oct 12 Clean

I read the story today about Linh Dao, Vietnam, 1991 (In the book Live like a Jesus Freak, Pg. 26-28). It is about a little girl whose family members are Christians and their father an underground pastor. How the father was taken to prison and how the family did things to help him in prison to share the gospel as well as continuing the underground church in their home. Even at a very young age she was being used by God to do His work.

To be clean, a cry I call so often to the Lord. As a pastor there are times when I read verses like these and ask myself, “am I like the Pharisees and teachers?” My pray is that I will never be like that and that my Lord will say some day to me, “well done my good a faithful servant.” Truth is we must all ask (pastor included) for forgiveness of our sins. I John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” It is through him that I am forgiven. Lord please work in my life so that I might have a clean cup inside and out.
